Briarfields Motel & Touring Park has been rather cleverly designed so you can think you’re slap bang in the middle of the countryside; all areas are landscaped and the separate touring and tent areas are edged throughout with mature shrubs, edges and trees.

We are located just 2.6 miles from Cheltenham town centre and 6.6 miles from Historic Gloucester.

Leave the motorhome on site and hop on one of the regular buses that pass right outside, leading to days out at Cheltenham, Gloucester, Oxford, the Forest of Dean and the Cotswolds.

Park Facilities:

Briarfields Motel & Touring Park Park offers 72 hard-standing pitches with electric and most are level, concrete with a gravel area for an awning and a grassy area.

All pitches have a 10 amp electric hook up with fresh water taps situated all around the site along with chemical disposal points and ground level grey waste water disposals.

Our heated washrooms are spotlessly clean, centrally located on site so you’re never far away. Our washrooms are equipped with the usual high quality toilets, power showers, private washing cubicles, disabled shower room, hand dryers and hairdryer in the ladies.

We have a laundry room equipped with the standard washing machine, tumble dryer, airiers, ironing board and freezer.

You will find lots of books and games to borrow on wet days along with lots of local leaflets and maps to plan your itinerary around the Cotswolds.

There are lots of local amenities only a ten minute stroll from the touring park, the Redgrove Harvester, local shop selling newspapers, a fabulous Thai restaurant and takeaway, KFC and supermarket.

Two caravan sales and spares dealership are only two miles away.

Call into reception when you arrive at Briarfields Motel & Touring Park for reams of information, leaflets and maps on the many things to do a bus ride away; buses run every 10 minutes during the day and every 20 minutes into the evenings to both Cheltenham and Gloucester, and another service to Oxford will give explorers about six hours in the city before heading back to Cheltenham.

Briarfields Motel & Touring Park is open all year round and is dog-friendly.

Whats On Nearby:

A day in Cheltenham, more if you’re coming to have a flutter at the racecourse just four miles away or liven it up at one of the many festivals Cheltenham has to offer (Jazz, Music, Science, Literature). Catch the bus early to take in as much as possible: a morning perusing the contemporary and historical craft, fine art and a full programme of events at Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum; Independent restaurants spring up on every street, using fresh locally sourced ingredients – perfect for a spot of lunch or dinner.

Enjoy a fabulous afternoon shopping in the many independent boutiques of Montpellier, offering a selection from designer clothing, couture to outdoor wear.

Wandering along the wide leafy promenade has a distinctly continental feel giving a relaxed shopping experience and there is also Bath Road and the well-lined High Street.

Harry Potter and history fans will enjoy an hour or two at Gloucester Cathedral, used in many of the films (see if you recognise the Cloisters).

The cathedral runs a varied programme of exhibitions and regularly works with local artists and communities to deliver high quality events including The Three Choirs Festival, the oldest non competitive classical music festival in the world.

The Gloucester Docks and award-winning Waterways Museum are also a good afternoon out for heritage fans, while the avid shoppers can find plenty to occupy them at the waterside retail outlet shopping centre Gloucester Quays.

Enjoy a day trip out to this very special wonderfully picturesque region – The Cotswolds. Defined by its rolling hills or ‘wolds’ this glorious region offers a host of activities and attractions in all seasons!

Explore quintessential villages of honey-coloured stone; take in splendid market towns; visit some of the country’s greatest palaces and country houses; marvel at the natural world in acclaimed reserves and at some of the most famous arboreta’s in Britain; walk through breath-taking landscapes along historic trails; or make a splash in our own lake-land area.

The Forest of Dean is a geographical, historical and cultural region in the western part of the county of Gloucestershire, England.

Enjoy a relaxing journey on the Forest of Dean railway four and a half mile line though beautiful woodland and countryside.

With 5 stations along the way you’ll have time to explore the local area, taking in woodland walks, country pubs or venturing down the Severn estuary.
