Park Facilities

50 level pitches are attractively laid out over 4 acres of landscaped grounds easily accessible from Cotswolds stone roadways.

Each pitch is half hard standing and half grass; all have 16amp hook-up.

25 fully serviced pitches also have fresh water tap and grey water drain.

Our 5-star heated facilities’ building is warm and bright, with spacious showers, individual washing cubicles, hair dryers and thoughtful, homely touches like hand cream and tissues.

Guests with accessibility concerns will find the caravan site easily accessible; especially the separate disabled shower and WC.

You can do the washing up undercover or indoors and make use of a laundry equipped for washing, drying and ironing; there’s even a free spin-dryer.

Dogs are welcome on the caravan site.

Bring up to 2 well-behaved dogs per pitch free.

Our on-site exercise area has a stone path.

There’s a supermarket nearby, village pubs serving food within walking distance and a bus stop at the site entrance.

Whats on nearby

Plough Lane Caravan Site is well situated for visiting interesting towns and villages around Somerset, Wiltshire and the Cotswolds.

Chippenham, one of England’s oldest towns is a few miles from the site as are Castle Combe and Lacock, two of England’s prettiest villages.

The World Heritage City of Bath is 10 miles, with a good Park & Ride to help you enjoy this lovely city.

The Abbey, Roman Baths, Pulteney Bridge and shopping malls are all within walking distance from the center.

You could also take the spa waters.

Bristol, maritime city, is also close-by, its attractions including Brunel’s Clifton Suspension Bridge over the Avon Gorge, The Maritime Heritage Centre and SS Great Britain.

After a city visit, it’s nice to settle back into Wiltshire countryside like the market town of Devizes for a stroll along the Avon & Kennet Canal to the 16 lock flight at Caen Hill.

North Wiltshire offers serious competition to the famous Wiltshire stone circle at Stonehenge an hour’s drive from Plough Lane Caravan Site.

The stone circles at Avebury are regarded as one of the most important prehistoric monuments in England while the Silbury Hill crop circles still baffle the experts!

From Avebury there’s a scenic hill walk on the Ridgeway an ancient track along the Marlborough Downs and also around the county, walks to giant white horses carved into the Wiltshire hills.

There are so many places to choose for a day out, here are some of the most popular; Bowood House (Calne), Atwell Motor Museum (Calne), Corsham Court (Corsham), American Museum and Gardens (Bath), Great Western Designer Outlet Village (Swindon), Great Western Railway Museum (Swindon), Corinium Museum and Roman Villa Cirencester),and The National Arboretum (Westonbirt).

When you arrive we will lend you our tourism guide so you can unwind and relax on your pitch just thinking about the good things you can do during your stay at Plough Lane Caravan Site.

The site is well served by buses. Cyclists can join the Sustrans  North Wiltshire Rivers Route without using a car.
