Wheathill Touring Park

Wheathill Touring Park is an Adult Only Caravan Park situated between Ludlow and Bridgnorth in the heart of the Shropshire Countryside. Recently refurbished to the highest standards, we are a family run, friendly, adult only caravan park.

Our caravan park is situated in the south Shropshire hills, and an area of outstanding natural beauty, nestled between the market towns of Ludlow and Bridgnorth.

Wheathill is a perfect place from which to explore the sights of the county, both natural and man made. As an adult only park we strive to offer a relaxed atmosphere for our holiday makers.

The park location on the B4364 gives easy access to our park with an excellent entrance. The nearby town of Ludlow is renowned for its food festivals and fantastic architecture well worth a visit.

7 miles from the historical market town of Ludlow. Wheathill is the perfect place to explore Shropshire.

Whilst in Ludlow visit the ruined medieval Castle which overlooks the river Teme and was one of the first stone castles to be built in England.

Ludlow’s daily life is considerably enriched throughout the year by a series of festivals, fairs and carnivals many set against the backdrop of Ludlow Castle. These include The Spring Festival, Ludlow Food and Drink Festival and the Medieval Christmas Fayre. All worth a visit.

Ludlow Farm Shop located 2 miles north of Ludlow on the A49 is a farm shop like no other, it sources 80% of its products from the four counties of Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Powys meaning it sells only the best, seasonal produce with fewer food miles.

12 miles away is Bridgnorth, which in reality, is two towns: the High Town (good views down) and the Low Town (good views up). Now connected by the steepest inland funicular railway in Britain. The Low Town was once a thriving port along the banks of the River Severn, while the High Town held the castle, the churches, and many fine 16th and 17th century mansions. Charles I, lost his head here completely, declaring the view to be – “the finest in all my kingdom.”

Bridgnorth is also the home to the Severn Valley Railway.

We have an abundant of National trust properties in the area to visit, so if you are a national trust member it is an ideal place to stay.

Please Note:

Untrusted Sat Nav directions– We recommend you approach us on the B4364 from either the Bridgnorth end (12 miles on the left after the pub) or the Ludlow end (7miles on the right before the pub). It is best not to follow the SAT NAV when you reach the B4364 as this sometimes takes you off the B4364. We are on this road next to the Three Horseshoes pub.
