Be a Smug September Camper

Crossroads-2It’s that time of year. Summer is drawing to a close and we’re all wondering what on earth we’re going to have to look forward to in the 4 months we have to wait until Christmas.

Well, South West Camper Hire have 5 things that we hope will cheer you up if you get the chance to be a smug September camper with us.

  1. Beat the Kids Brigade

We all love family time, and if you are currently sans children, then September is the month for you. The weather also seems to be kinder in September, with limited rainfall and the occasional hot spell – as we like to call it, belated summer.

Anyway, as much as us Brits love to chat about the weather, the really exciting bit is that not only is hiring a campervan cheaper, but so is everything else. You totally get to enjoy the best of the South T5 daffsWest when the weather is still kind, without the crowds and premium prices for attractions. Doesn’t really get better than that does it?

  1. You Get to be THAT Person

You know. That person who puts their out of office on when everyone else is suffering from post-summer blues, plus being the one that gets to post all the awesome adventures you’re having to social media*.

*Warning, we cannot guarantee your friend count on Facebook will not go down as a result of the amazing time you’re having being a smug September camper.

  1. Enjoy More Choice

Due to it being off peak season, you get to enjoy more choice of which van you take to be your trusty steed as you pootle around seeing the best of the South West. Though South West Camper Hire is 10 years old, our fleet is not. We’ve worked hard to build a mostly modern fleet, meaning campers can enjoy more amenities in their home away from home. If you choose to travel this September, we still have availability in the VW T5.5 GP (white and grey), plus the VW T5 Surf Bus. We also have limited availability in our classic van, Hendrix and our brand new Auto Roller 707. Visit the South West Camper Hire website to see full availability and prices for your chosen dates.

  1. Play Travel Roulette

As described in bonus point 1, you will get to travel around the South West with minimal (if any) crowd. This means rather than having to book a campsite months in advance and letting that dictate your travel, you can let the road guide you and turn up to a campsite on the spot, pretty much guaranteed a space to stay. Don’t believe us? One of our keen explorers tells her tale of playing travel roulette last October in the new white VW T5.5.

  1. Be Part of a Once in a Lifetime Event

Even if you’re not a huge rugby fan, you can’t avoid getting all kinds of excited about Rugby World Cup coming to England. More excitingly is that three matches will be hosted at Exeter’s very own Sandy Park on the 29 September, and the 7 and 11 October. Accommodation has been booked up for months, so if you want to be a part of the action, then hiring a camper van is a great way to go. Most campsites* have Wi-Fi now, so you can catch the matches on any device, whilst sitting back in a camp chair, taking in a stunning view and sipping on a reasonably priced beverage. Doesn’t sound too bad to us.
