Three-night stay at Grooby’s Pit to be won
Enter now to win stay at this beautiful lakeside retreat in your motorhome, caravan or camper.
Located in the peaceful Lincolnshire countryside 8 miles from Skegness, Grooby’s Pit is the perfect place to unwind. Listen to the sounds of nature, watch the wildlife, including the resident kingfishers, and meet the free-roaming hens who live on site. This peaceful adult only park has a large, well-stocked coarse fishing lake that’s exclusively for the use of guests (charges apply).
Loved for the friendly welcome, Grooby’s Pit was named ‘Best Small Site’ in last year’s Top 100 Sites Guide. The owners Neil and Tracy, assisted by wardens Robert and Debbie, are wonderful hosts who go out of their way to ensure an enjoyable stay.
There are just 17 pitches all set around the main lake, providing a spacious, fully serviced hardstanding area with electricity, grey waste drain and drinking water. Facilities include a modern, high-spec shower block and an off-lead exercise area for your four legged companions – and there’s a shower for them too.
It also makes a great base for visiting Lincoln, Louth, Horncastle, Woodhall-Spa and the Lincolnshire Wolds.

Grooby’s Pit Giveaway Terms & Conditions
- The prize is 3 consecutive nights on a touring pitch at Grooby’s Pit, Bridgefoot Farm, Steeping Road, Thorpe St Peter, Skegness, PE24 4QT.
- The prize must be booked in advance, subject to availability and terms applicable at the time of booking.
- The prize includes 1 touring caravan, motorhome or campervan, plus 1 car, 2 adults and 1 awning.
- You must bring your own touring unit to take the prize.
- The prize also includes a metered electricity allowance £1 per night. Any extra electricity will be charged at the normal rate.
- Other extras (e.g. extra nights, extra cars, people, visitors, dogs, etc.) are charged at the normal rate.
- The prize can be taken at any time before 31 July 2027, excluding bank holiday periods. (Grooby’s Pit will be closed from 1 November 2026 to 14 March 2027.)
- The prize is not transferable and there is no cash alternative.
- The draw will close at 8pm on WEDNESDAY 15 JULY 2026.
- This is a Free Draw.
- The winner will be chosen at random and will be notified by email within 14 days of the closing date. If the winner does not respond within 7 days, no alternative winner will be selected.
- Only one entry per person will be counted.
- The winner’s initial and last name will be announced on our website.
- You must be over 18 to enter and over 18 to stay at Grooby’s Pit.
- The promoter of this giveaway is Tranquil Parks Ltd.
