West Somerset Railway, is a true country branch line of the old Great Western Railway which is full of fascination whether you are looking for a nostalgic ride back in time through lovely countryside or to study the railway and industrial heritage which our line preserves.
The historic steam locomotives, coaches and wagons, and the buildings of our ten unique stations linked by a twenty mile scenic journey will repay hours of exploration. The surrounding countryside is as varied as it is beautiful.
The gently rolling Quantock hills and distant Exmoor, unspoilt villages and farms nestling in leafy lanes, the cliffs and coast of the Bristol Channel with views of distant South-Wales, confident Church Towers, Dunster’s imposing Castle and Minehead’s seaside charm are all waiting to be discovered.

Greenacres Touring Park – Wellington  Somerset 
The Greenacres Touring Park is located near Wellington, Somerset and is exclusively for adults. A holiday destination providing attractive landscaped surroundings and wonderful views of the Somerset Blackdown and Quantock hills.
We have a warm and friendly local pub with restaurant close by (5 minutes walking) and we are less than 25 minutes walk from the country town of Wellington, (Somerset).
Wellington is an enjoyable market town with lots of lovely local shops and pubs to explore. Greenacres park is encircled by beautiful landscape scenery and we are wonderfully located for further exploration of Taunton, Lyme Regis and Sidmouth, or for both the beautiful Dorset and scenic Exmoor coasts (less than 30 miles for either).
