Activities and Local Attractions

Lovely Chew Valley Lake and the surrounding area is a haven for walking, cycling, fishing, boating, bird-watching and photography

You can find guides to walking and cycling routes at the caravan park reception and the 1,200 acre lake is a popular venue for trout and pike fishing.

The Roman City of Bath is a short drive with a good park and ride to let you enjoy the attractions of this open city.

Bath Abbey, Roman Baths, Pulteney Bridge and River Avon Walks, as well as shopping malls are all within walking distance of the city centre and you can take in the famous spa waters.

There’s something for everyone all year round in the maritime City of Bristol, which also has a good park and ride as well as regular bus service from Bishop Sutton.

Not far away is the Somerset coast, which is a pleasant drive along the Mendip Hills to the resort of Weston-super-Mare and it’s famous pier. There are miles of golden sands and good coastal walks available here, too.

Further afield, Somerset offers a variety of attractions including Wookey, Cheddar Gorge, National Trust sites and country towns.

We’re delighted to help with local advice and if you’d rather leave your motorhome on the park you can hire a car from the caravan park.
