From Scarecrow competitions held as part of local village tradition to a pot man to welcome you to the site, ‘Plough Lane‘ has many little touches that make it special.
You only have to see the guest reviews to know you’ll love it: “Delightfully laid out, cleanest and best managed site we have ever visited” and “Facilities are immaculate”.
You can expect a warm Wiltshire welcome from helpful owners Roger and Helen, and a wealth of local information in their ‘Welcome Pack’ (given to every visitor to use over their stay) to help you find your way around and enjoy touring Wiltshire, the Cotswold’s and Somerset.
There are beautiful facilities and shower areas with an artistic twist. These incredible murals were created after both Roger & Helen decided to do something unusual for their visitors. Depicting different attractions in the area from Stonehenge to Wiltshire’s White Horses they add an colourful addition to the facilities block. Never mind cleaning your teeth in the morning! You’ll spend more of your time gazing up at the wonderful murals on the walls and listening to the background music’.
If that’s not enough laugh at the caravan cartoon pictures when entering the rest rooms.
‘Plough Lane‘ are going to every effort to ensure that you have an enjoyable stay and have secured discounts at local pubs so that you can eat out for less! The local village Kington Langley has two lovely pubs one a five minute walk away and the other a twenty minute stroll (but also five minutes in the car if you would prefer).
There is firstly ‘The Plough‘where you can receive a 15% off voucher for staying at Tranquil Parks Plough Lane. The second pub to which the ‘Plough Lane‘ team have negotiated a 20% discount for ‘Plough Lane‘ residents is the ‘Hit & Miss Pub’. Set in the middle of the Kington Langley Village which is a picturesque Cotswold Village still close to the M4, but you just wouldn’t know it!
Some of those Cotswold images around the park in the picturesque village of Kington Langley.
Here is the park in pictures from a customers view and looking just as well kept, with incredible standard’s even as Autumn starts to usher itself in. The park really does cater for all your needs!
Have pets? Well don’t worry … Roger & Helen have welcomed many pets over the years – whether it’s parrots, tortoises, cats or dogs, they have had them all!
There is even your very own dog walking field, as I found out with a very appreciative dog owner who had just arrived on site and was very relieved to be able to let her dog stretch its legs, a splendid field, together with pathway! If you are lucky you may even get to see the deer that roam through the park at quieter times or see the tawny owl perched in a tree in the dog walk.
If you are looking for things to see and do around the area you are quite literally spoilt for choice as ‘PloughLane‘ sits virtually on the border between The Cotswolds and Wiltshire and is very close to the world heritage site of Bath. Between these two famous counties and the beautiful city of Bath you will not be bored!
Instead of writing about it, I thought pictures would just say it better together with links through to all associated websites to give you more updates, if you wish to explore the area more.
