20 Years of Happy Days at Somers Wood Park

Visit Somers Wood Caravan Park this season and join in the park’s 20th Anniversary
celebrations. Owners, Angela and Marc Fowler, invite guests to participate in birthday promotions and special events at the park.
The first celebration takes place 9 to 26 May when special commemorative mugs will be given free to the first 20 guests booking midweek breaks in that period.

The main celebration will be 17 to 23 October when standard pitches will be on offer at 1990’s prices. That’s £20 for two midweek nights, immediately following the NEC Motorhome & Caravan Show. There are also plans for an additional promotion for returning guests and Angela is sure to find more reasons to give away commemorative mugs.

Woodland Caravan Park
When Angela and Marc acquired Somers Wood at the end of 1994, few could have imagined today’s neat touring park within the overgrown and neglected woodland of that time.
The park finally opened in 1996 and, 20 years on, the Meriden park’s pitches and facilities are graded 5-Stars by Visit England. Not only has the woodland been restored, the park is active in wildlife conservation and is a part of central England’s ancient Forest of Arden.
Adult Only Touring
Many guests choose Somers Wood for its proximity to the National Exhibition Centre and Birmingham, though the park is also surrounded by two top golf courses and acres of prime fishing lakes. This tranquil countryside is perfect for an adult only touring park, so much so, Somers Wood hosted the inaugural meeting and then became an active member of the Association of Adult Only Touring Parks from March 2000.
If you haven’t visited Somers Wood yet, 2016 would be an excellent time to discover ‘Happy Days’ at Warwickshire’s premier adult only touring park. Follow Somers Wood’s 20th Anniversary celebrations:
