Visit the Lincolnshire coast

Lincolnshire’s coastline is vast! I mean, really vast! It runs for more than 50 miles and is home to dozens of coastal communities, from pretty villages to vibrant resorts.

Skegness is arguably the biggest and most popular of the coastal towns and is everything you’d expect a classic British seaside resort to be: amusements, cafes, entertainment on tap and a great beach to boot!

However, there’s lots of other wonderful coastal places to visit. If you’re after something similar to Skegness then the likes of Cleethorpes, Ingoldmells and, to a lesser extent, Mablethorpe should be on your list, whilst Sutton on Sea, Chapel St Leonards are also well worth a visit.

The Lincolnshire coastline also boasts an array of quality beaches, ranging from gravel and pebble to golden sands!

Lincolnshire Wolds

Spanning 216 square miles, the Lincolnshire Wolds is the jewel in the county’s crown. Here you can enjoy rolling green hills, hidden valleys and all manner of animals and wildlife.

Hubbard’s Hills is an Area of Natural Beauty, just to the west of Louth (another beautiful place to visit) and is a great place to enjoy walks and picnics.

Historic Lincoln

As well as the cultural aspects (Lincoln Cathedral, Lincoln Castle, the Magna Carta) it’s also a bit of a shopper’s paradise. Rising from the bottom of the city’s main high street right to the top of the famous Steep Hill, there’s independent and big name shops, cafes, bars and restaurants to tempt you.
