New for the 2026 season
New wardens, barbecue terrace and economy pitches at Bath Chew Valley
Bath Chew Valley Caravan Park is pleased to welcome Caroline and Mike to the team as wardens. Both are delighted to be working in the Park’s peaceful corner of Somerset after previous jobs on busy holiday parks in Scotland. They were attracted to the park’s country garden style and beautiful countryside surroundings.
What better way to enjoy the longer evening than by firing up the barbecue and enjoying the lovely countryside from a comfortable veranda? With that in mind, the park team has built a new veranda and barbecue area for the park’s popular cedar lodge.
With the rise in compact campervan registrations, Bath Chew Valley Caravan Park has introduced 2 ‘economy’ pitches specifically for campervans up to 6.4m (21ft) overall length. Both are hardstandings in a quiet area close to the park’s facilities building with 16amp electric hook-up, TV hook-up point, shared fresh water tap and drain.
Seasonal pitches at Hampshire Hills (dog free)
Hampshire Hills (formerly Two Hoots Caravan Park & Campsite) near Winchester has introduced new seasonal pitch options. The first taker has arrived, and it’s a biggie – a 30ft tourer with pop-out sides!
The seasonal pitches are suitable for touring caravans, 5th wheelers and similar, as well as road-legal and towable tiny homes, and are grass with access to drinking water taps, Elsan point and a guest toilet/shower and kitchen block. They’re located in a separate gated and fenced off area, which provides an extra layer of security.
There are a limited number of seasonal pitches available immediately. Initially, these will not have access to an EHU point and when EHUs become available, electric will be metered and charged at cost (currently 27pence per kWh). Costs: 6months paid up front £1,500 (equates to £250pm); 3months paid up front £900 (equated to £300pm). Terms and conditions apply.
It’s also possible to hire a touring unit (including biggies like the one shown here) to place on one of the seasonal pitches for the next 3 to 6 months. This could be handy if you’re interested in an extended stay, whether for a holiday or in between house moves.
For more, see the park’s seasonal page or email hello@twohootsglampingsite.co.uk. Please note, Hampshire Hills is a dog-free park.

Grooby’s Pit supports ‘Bins for Boys’ initiative
Grooby’s Pit near Skegness in Lincolnshire is the latest Tranquil Park to install bins in Men’s toilets. As a result of the national conversation about male health issues, the park has placed discreet bins in all the men’s toilets. Awareness is growing that some men need to wear pads, pouches, stomas, catheters and colostomy or ileostomy bags, “It’s something we hadn’t thought about before until we saw the campaign on TV” said park owner Tracy.
