Celebrations and milestones

Congratulations to the team at Bath Chew Valley Caravan Park, who have once again been recognised by the AA, receiving the prestigious 5 Platinum Stars Award for 2026/27.

The award highlights the park’s peaceful atmosphere, beautifully maintained grounds and excellent facilities, describing it as an outstanding base for exploring the Mendip Hills and Somerset’s many attractions. It’s a fantastic achievement and a well-deserved recognition of the team’s commitment to providing a first-class guest experience.

Congratulations are also due to Red Kite Touring Park for maintaining AA 5 stars gold.

There was a very special celebration at Two Mills Touring Park recently as Bella and Tommy tied the knot.

Feathered friends and wildlife encounters

Red Kite Touring Park has introduced one of its more colourful guests, Clint the Parrot – shown here enjoying the view from his caravan window.

At Fields End Water, guests regularly spot an Egyptian Goose keeping watch from his favourite perch atop the café roof. A familiar sight around the park, he’s become something of a local celebrity.

Recent guest reviews at Exe Valley Caravan Site  have highlighted the simple pleasure of sitting by the weir and watching a dipper busily feeding her young – a reminder of the wonderful wildlife experiences that can often become the highlight of a stay.

Bloomin’ lovely

At Red Kite Touring Park, groundsman Mike has been hard at work planting colourful bedding displays throughout the park.

Even Trethem Mill’s flower beds have been attracting attention — although some rather enthusiastic local rabbits appear to have developed a taste for the freshly planted displays!

Summer colour is bursting into life across Tranquil Parks. These stunning petunias are from Somers Wood and they are called  Cosmic Violet.

At Two Mills in Norfolk the park’s signature apricot begonias are beginning to bloom and promise another spectacular display in the weeks ahead.

Cartref’s flower beds and planters are looking particularly vibrant this season, providing valuable habitats for pollinators as well as creating a beautiful environment for guests to enjoy.

The flowers by reception are looking fabulous at York Naburn Lock Caravan Park.

The great May heatwave

May delivered some fantastic weather across the country, giving us an early taste of summer and bringing the campers to our parks.

There’s something wonderfully exciting about camping and at Bath Chew Valley Caravan Park, the country garden style and thoughtful little luxuries make it ideal. Camping pitches are large and carefully surface-dressed for comfort. The park offers first-class facilities including a convenient campers’ refrigerator in the utilities building.

These photos show  guests enjoying the May heatwave at Red Kite Touring Park in Powys.

Here are guests at Somers Wood Caravan Park in North Warwickshire enjoying the warm weather.

This couple enjoyed their large, private pitch at Trethem Mill Touring Park in Cornwall during the May heatwave.

Beyond the Park

At York Naburn Lock Caravan Park, wardens Lynn and Alan are known for welcoming guests and helping keep the park looking its best. Away from the park, the couple share a passion for sailing and enjoy spending their free time on the water. Lynn is also a keen singer-songwriter, proving that there are plenty of hidden talents among the friendly faces who help make Tranquil Parks so special.

We hope to share more about the Tranquil Parks owners and wardens  later this year.
