Two more parks open all year

Delph Bank Touring and Glamping Park in Lincolnshire (left) and Sunnyside Farm Caravan Park & Fishery near Shrewsbury (right) have both announced that they’ll be staying open throughout the winter this year. This brings the number of parks that have recently decided not to close to 3, including Red Kite Touring and Lodge Park earlier this year.

Delph Bank recently opened a beautiful clubhouse, providing a great space to enjoy drinks, music, TV and a convivial atmosphere. The park team say that they have extended their season “due to popular demand!” Events kick off with a Halloween party featuring live music. There will be Christmas and New Year celebrations on site with a great pre-Christmas attraction just a short bus ride away – catch a bus from the park entrance to the Springfields shopping outlet with its enchanting Winter Wonderland Walk.

Sunnyside Farm previously closed in February. The park has just completed 10 brand new pitches which are all hardstanding and fully serviced, and which all have views of the lake, making them ideal for winter touring. It’s also a perfect for keen anglers as the 20-peg lake is open all year and especially appeals those who enjoy catching ‘silvers’ through the colder months.

More awards for parks (and locations)

Josie and Steve at Killiwerris Touring Park near Truro in Cornwall (left) are “totally ecstatic” to have received an upgrade to AA Platinum with a score of 95% following this year’s inspection! This is a great achievement for any park, but it’s a huge deal for this tiny, 17-pitch park to successfully meet all the criteria set.

“It has made our year and we are so happy, as we have been tirelessly working towards improvements for our guests and achieving this level” said park owner Josie.  “We will keep on heading for that elusive 100% over the next few years!”. We wish Josie and Steve lots of luck.

Congratulations are also in order for Parkland Caravan, Camping & Glamping Site in South Devon (midle) and Delph Bank Touring Park (right). They have both won a VisitEngland Gold award for 2025/26.

New Lodge Farm (left) has won yet another major award! This time is was the Northamptonshire Food & Drink Awards 2025/26 sponsored by Wheetabix, where they got Gold in the Food & Beverage Achiever of the Year category. This family farm business, led by Simon and Sarah Singlehurst also won a national Countryside Alliance award earlier this year.

“It’s the great team that makes it all possible” said Sarah, adding “We’d also like to thank all of you, our customers, for visiting and supporting us.”

Congratulations to Two Mills Touring Park (middle) on retaining their 5 stars, jumping up a few percentage points from last year.

Bath Chew Valley Caravan Park is pleased to let you know that the leading international travel magazine, Condé Nast Traveller, has rated Bath the UK’s top city for visitors in their 2025 annual traveller survey. Scoring the city 97.8/100, magazine readers noted the city’s “Roman attractions set alongside a recently revived restaurant and bar scene with ‘fantastical activities’ and events happening throughout the year.”

This park has become the obvious choice for guests planning to tour the city. Located in beautiful countryside, it’s the only 5-star graded touring park within the Bath & North East Somerset area.

Lighting up Christmas (and other events)!

Bath Chew Valley Caravan Park is switching on its renowned festive illuminations from 31 st October this year (top left). This means guests staying to visit Somerset Carnivals or the opening of Bristol Christmas Market (7 November) will be able to enjoy the park’s ‘winter wonderland’.

They also have 2 ensuite shepherd huts on the way (with their own inside kitchen) and should be ready for the 2026 season.

They’re also going to be researching more food deliveries for takeaways (too small for food vans), more items for sale in the shop and developments towards sustainability and reducing their carbon footprint.

Encouraging the natural world
